When a calendar is connected, your assistant can check your real-time availability and book appointments directly during phone calls. Without a calendar, your assistant will take messages but won’t be able to schedule anything. To manage booking settings, go to Assistants, click on your assistant, and open the Calendar tab.

Connecting a calendar

If no calendar is attached yet, you’ll see an empty state with an Add Calendar button. Click Add Calendar to open the calendar selection panel. This panel shows all the calendar integrations you’ve already connected in your account. Simply click on the calendar you want to use. It will be attached to your assistant immediately.

What if I don’t see any calendars?

If the list is empty, you haven’t connected a calendar integration yet. Click Go to Integrations at the bottom of the panel to set one up first. VozAgent supports:
  • Google Calendar — Connect via one-click sign-in
  • Calendly — Connect via one-click sign-in
  • GoHighLevel — Enter your Private Integration Token and Location ID
  • Cal.com — Enter your API key
After connecting a calendar in the Integrations page, come back to your assistant’s Calendar tab and attach it.

Viewing the attached calendar

Once a calendar is attached, you’ll see it displayed with a green border, showing the calendar provider name and account details. From here you can:
  • Change the calendar — Click the Change button at the top right to switch to a different connected calendar
  • Detach the calendar — Click the unlink icon next to the calendar card to disconnect it from this assistant

Detaching a calendar

When you detach a calendar, VozAgent will ask you to confirm. Once detached, the assistant will no longer check availability or book appointments — it will go back to taking messages instead.

How booking works during calls

When a calendar is connected, your assistant can:
  1. Check availability — When a caller asks about scheduling, the assistant looks at your calendar in real time
  2. Suggest open times — The assistant offers available slots based on your calendar
  3. Book the appointment — Once the caller picks a time, the assistant creates the event on your calendar
  4. Confirm the details — The assistant reads back the date, time, and any other relevant information
All of this happens naturally during the conversation. The caller doesn’t need to know they’re talking to an AI.

After-hours behavior

If a caller reaches your assistant outside of your available hours:
  • With a calendar attached — The assistant will offer to book the next available slot
  • Without a calendar — The assistant will take a message and notify you
Booking availability is determined by the calendar settings you configured during setup (booking days, start/end times, appointment duration, and buffer time).

Tips

  • Keep your calendar up to date. Your assistant checks your calendar in real time, so blocked-off times will be respected automatically.
  • One calendar per assistant. Each assistant can only have one calendar attached at a time. If you have multiple calendars, choose the one most relevant to this assistant’s purpose.
  • Connect more calendars anytime. You can add new calendar integrations from Settings > Integrations and then attach them to any assistant.
