Once you have phone numbers in your account, you can view their details, update settings, and remove numbers you no longer need — all from the Phone Numbers page.

Viewing Your Phone Numbers

Go to Phone Numbers in the sidebar to see all of your numbers. The page has two views depending on your screen size:
  • Desktop — A table showing each number along with its Friendly Name and capability icons for Voice, SMS, MMS, and Fax
  • Mobile — Individual cards for each number with the same information in a compact layout
Each number also shows its location (city and state) below the phone number, so you can quickly identify which region each number belongs to.

Opening Phone Number Settings

To edit a phone number, click on its row in the table (or tap the card on mobile). This opens the Phone Number Settings panel on the right side of the screen. You can also click the three-dot menu icon on any number and select Edit Settings to open the same panel. The settings panel is organized into three sections: Phone Number Details, Inbound Settings, and Outbound Settings.

Phone Number Details

This section shows the number itself and lets you edit basic information.

Phone Number Label

Give your number a descriptive name to help you tell your numbers apart at a glance. Click the Phone Number Label field and enter a name like:
  • “Main Office Line”
  • “After-Hours Line”
  • “Marketing Campaign Number”
This label appears in the Friendly Name column on the phone numbers table.

SMS Enabled

For Twilio-based numbers, you will see an SMS Enabled toggle. Flip this switch to enable or disable SMS messaging on the number.
  • On — The number can send and receive text messages
  • Off — SMS is disabled for this number
Note: The SMS toggle only appears for numbers provisioned through Twilio.

Inbound Settings

This section controls what happens when someone calls your number. See Assigning Numbers to Assistants for a full walkthrough. Key fields:
  • Assistant — The AI assistant that answers incoming calls on this number
  • Fallback Destination — A phone number to forward calls to if the assistant is unavailable

Outbound Settings

This section controls how the number is used for outbound calls and campaigns. See Assigning Numbers to Assistants for details. Key fields:
  • Outbound Phone Number — The number to use as the caller ID for outbound calls
  • Assistant — The AI assistant that handles outbound conversations

Saving Your Changes

After making changes to any section, click Save Changes at the bottom of the settings panel. You will see a confirmation message once the update is saved. Click Cancel to close the panel without saving.
Note: Only admin users can edit phone number settings. If the fields appear disabled, contact your organization admin.

Deleting a Phone Number

If you no longer need a phone number, you can delete it. This permanently releases the number, so it may not be available to get again. To delete a number:
  1. Click the three-dot menu on the number you want to remove.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. A confirmation dialog will appear showing the number and a warning that the action cannot be undone and the number will be released.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.
Warning: Deleting a phone number is permanent. The number will be released back to the phone number pool and may be claimed by someone else. Make sure no active assistants or campaigns depend on this number before deleting it.
