Campaigns let you make automated outbound calls to a list of contacts. Your AI assistant calls each person, handles the conversation, and reports back with results. This is ideal for follow-ups, appointment reminders, lead qualification, and re-engagement.

What You Need Before Starting

  • An active assistant — At least one assistant must be created and set to active.
  • A phone number — The assistant must have an active phone number assigned to it.
  • Contacts — You need at least one contact in your list.

Campaign Creation Wizard

Go to Campaigns in the left sidebar and click Create Campaign. The wizard guides you through five steps.

Step 1: Campaign Setup

Fill in the basic information:
  • Campaign Name (required) — A descriptive name like “January Follow-Up” or “Appointment Reminders”.
  • Description — Optional notes about the campaign’s purpose. Helpful if you run multiple campaigns.
  • Select Assistant (required) — Choose which AI assistant will handle the calls. Only active assistants appear in the list. Each entry shows the assistant’s name and role.
  • Phone Number — Automatically detected from the selected assistant’s assigned number. If the assistant does not have a phone number, you will see a warning and cannot proceed until one is assigned.
Click Next to continue.

Step 2: Goal & Context

Select the campaign’s goal and provide context for the AI assistant:
  • Campaign Goal — Choose one of the seven goal categories:
    • Book Appointments
    • Qualify Leads
    • Follow Up on a Recent Inquiry
    • Confirm or Remind About an Appointment
    • Re-Engage Old Leads
    • Broadcast an Important Update
    • Collect Information (Application / Intake)
Each goal type shows additional context fields specific to that template. For example, “Book Appointments” lets you specify appointment types, while “Qualify Leads” lets you define qualification criteria. Click Next to continue.

Step 3: Contacts

Choose which contacts will receive calls:
  1. Browse your full contacts list with search and selection checkboxes.
  2. Check the box next to each contact you want to include, or use the select-all option.
  3. A badge at the top shows how many contacts are selected (e.g., “12 contacts selected”).
You must select at least one contact to continue. Tip: If you have a specific group in mind, use tags and filters on the Contacts page first to organize your list before starting the campaign wizard. You can also start from the Contacts page and use bulk actions to select contacts, which will pre-populate this step. Click Next to continue.

Step 4: Schedule

Configure when the campaign will launch:
  • Start Immediately — Calls begin as soon as the campaign is published. Note: if the current time is outside the calling window (default 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday), VozAgent will ask you to schedule for later instead.
  • Schedule for Later — Pick a date and time for the campaign to start. Only future dates can be selected.
  • Ignore Calling Hours — An optional toggle that allows the campaign to call contacts outside the default calling window. Use with caution.
Click Next to continue.

Step 5: Review & Launch

The final step shows a summary of everything you have configured:
  • Campaign name and goal
  • Selected assistant and phone number
  • Number of contacts
  • Schedule type and timing
Review the details, then click Create Campaign.

After Creation

When the campaign is successfully created, you will see a celebration screen confirming the campaign is ready. From here, you have two recommended next steps:
  1. Test Your Campaign — Make a test call to your own phone to verify the assistant behavior.
  2. Publish Campaign — Once you are satisfied with testing, publish to start calling contacts.
You can also click View Campaigns to go back to the campaigns list.

Campaign States

Every campaign goes through these states:
StatusMeaning
DraftSaved but not yet published. No calls are being made. You can edit, test, and configure freely.
ScheduledPublished with a future start date. Calls will begin at the scheduled time.
ActiveCurrently making calls to contacts.
PausedTemporarily stopped. Can be resumed.
CompletedAll contacts have been called. Labeled as “Sent” in the campaigns list.
CancelledPermanently stopped before completion.

Viewing and Managing Campaigns

The Campaigns page shows all your campaigns with two view options:
  • Card view — Visual cards showing each campaign’s status, contact count, and progress.
  • Table view — A compact table with columns for name, status, contacts, calls completed, success rate, and creation date.

Tabs

Use the tabs at the top to filter by status:
  • All — Every campaign
  • Draft — Campaigns not yet published
  • Scheduled — Campaigns waiting for their start time
  • Active — Currently running campaigns
  • Sent — Completed campaigns
Each tab shows a count of campaigns in that state.

Campaign Actions

Click the three-dot menu on any campaign to:
  • Activate / Pause — Toggle the campaign between active and paused
  • Duplicate — Create a copy of the campaign (useful for running similar campaigns)
  • Delete — Permanently remove the campaign (requires confirmation)

Auto-Save

VozAgent automatically saves your campaign as a draft when you move past Step 1. As you continue through the wizard, your progress is saved silently. This means you will not lose your work if you accidentally close the browser or navigate away.
