Every VozAgent AI assistant needs a phone number to make and receive calls. The Phone Numbers page is where you search for, purchase, and manage all of the numbers in your account. To get there, open the sidebar and click Phone Numbers.

Why You Need a Phone Number

A phone number is the link between your callers and your AI assistant. Without one, your assistant has no way to answer incoming calls or place outbound calls for campaigns. There are two main ways to use a VozAgent number:
  • Forward your existing business line — Set up call forwarding from your current business phone so that callers still dial the number they already know, but your AI assistant answers. See Forwarding Calls to VozAgent for step-by-step instructions.
  • Use it as a direct line — Give out your VozAgent number directly as your business phone number. Your AI assistant answers all incoming calls automatically, 24/7.

Number Types

When you search for a number, you can choose from three types:
TypeBest forExamples
LocalEstablishing a local presence in a specific area code(305) 555-1234 for Miami, (212) 555-5678 for New York
MobileA mobile-style number, also supports SMSVaries by area
Toll-FreeGiving customers a free-to-call number with a national feel800, 888, 877, 866 numbers
All three types support voice calling. Many also support SMS and MMS, depending on the specific number — you will see Voice and SMS capability badges in the search results so you know exactly what each number can do before you get it.

Phone Numbers and Your Plan

  2. Upgrade your plan — Move to a higher tier to get more numbers included along with other features.

What You See on the Phone Numbers Page

The Phone Numbers page shows a table of all your numbers with the following columns:
  • Number — The phone number in formatted display, along with its location (city/state)
  • Friendly Name — The label you have given the number (e.g., “Main Office Line”)
  • Voice — Whether voice calling is enabled
  • SMS — Whether SMS messaging is enabled
  • MMS — Whether MMS (picture messaging) is enabled
  • Fax — Whether fax is enabled
Click any row to open the Phone Number Settings panel, where you can edit the label, toggle SMS, assign assistants, and configure forwarding. On the right side of the page, a How to use info card provides quick tips:
  • Forward calls: Forward your existing business number to one of these numbers.
  • Direct line: Use these numbers directly as your business line.
