Using Tags
Tags are freeform labels you attach to contacts for easy grouping. There is no fixed list of tags — you create them as you go. Common examples:vip,lead,customer,follow-uptrade-show-2026,referral,website-inquiryhvac,plumbing,electrical(for trade-specific lists)
Adding Tags to a Single Contact
- Open a contact’s detail page by clicking their row in the contacts table.
- On the Overview tab, find the Tags field.
- Type a tag name and press Enter to add it. Repeat for as many tags as you need.
- Click Save Changes.
Adding Tags When Creating a Contact
When adding a new contact through the single contact form, there is a Tags field where you can type and press Enter to add tags before saving.Bulk Adding Tags
To tag multiple contacts at once:- Select contacts using the checkboxes in the contacts table. Use the “Select all” checkbox to select every contact in the current filtered view.
- Click the Actions dropdown that appears above the table.
- Select Add Tags.
- In the dialog that opens, type each tag name and press Enter.
- Click Add Tags to [N] Contacts.
Filtering Contacts
The contacts page provides several ways to narrow down your list.Search
The search bar at the top of the contacts list filters by:- First name
- Last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Company name
Status Filter
Click the Filters button to open the filter panel, then use the Status dropdown to show only contacts with a specific status:- All Contacts — Shows everyone (with count)
- Active — Contacts available for calls and campaigns (with count)
- Inactive — Contacts you have set aside (with count)
- Do Not Call — Contacts that are blocked from receiving calls (with count)
Date Range Filter
Also inside the Filters panel, you can filter by Last Contacted date:- Click Filters to open the filter panel.
- Use the calendar to select a date range.
- Only contacts who were last contacted within that range will appear.
- Click Clear dates to remove the filter.
Active Filter Count
When filters are applied, a badge on the Filters button shows how many filters are active. This reminds you that the list is not showing all contacts.Bulk Actions
When you select one or more contacts using the checkboxes, the Actions dropdown appears with these options:| Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Export Selected | Downloads the selected contacts as a CSV file. |
| Update Status | Change the status of all selected contacts to Active, Inactive, or Do Not Call. |
| Add Tags | Add one or more tags to all selected contacts (existing tags are preserved). |
| Delete Selected | Permanently delete the selected contacts after confirmation. |
| Clear Selection | Deselects all contacts. |
Bulk Status Updates
Changing status in bulk is especially useful for:- Marking a group of contacts as Do Not Call (e.g., after an opt-out request)
- Reactivating a set of inactive contacts for a new campaign
- Deactivating contacts after a campaign wraps up
Exporting Contacts
You can export contacts to CSV in two ways:- Export all (filtered): Click the Export CSV button in the filter bar. This exports all contacts matching your current search and filter criteria.
- Export selected: Select contacts with checkboxes, then use Actions > Export Selected to download only those contacts.
