Overview

Phone numbers are the bridge between your AI assistants and real-world callers. When someone calls your VozAgent number, the call is routed to your configured assistant which handles the conversation. You can use phone numbers for both inbound (receiving calls) and outbound (making calls) purposes.

VozAgent integrates with leading telephony providers:

Twilio

Setting Up a Number

To add a phone number to VozAgent:
  1. Go to Phone Numbers in your dashboard
  2. Click Add Phone Number
  3. Select your provider (Twilio, Telnyx, etc.)
  4. Enter your provider credentials (API key, account SID, etc.)
  5. Purchase or connect your phone number

Assigning to Assistants

Each phone number can be assigned to one inbound assistant and optionally one outbound assistant:
  • Inbound Assistant: Handles calls coming TO this number
  • Outbound Assistant: Used when making calls FROM this number
Caller ID — When making outbound calls, the phone number appears as the caller ID. This helps recipients recognize your business.
